Sliding Scale Fees

My availability of sliding scale fees aims to make counseling more accessible. While my standard fees are determined based on current market trends and availability, I understand that financial hardship can be a barrier to seeking help. Please contact me directly to discuss your situation, and we can work together to find a fee arrangement that fits your needs.

Insurance

I do not accept insurance and am not on any insurance panels. I would like our collaborative efforts to determine the direction of our work, and what success looks like, rather than the dictates of insurance companies.

I am willing to provide a superbill to persons I meet with, who can in turn submit to their insurance company. Many insurance companies will accept and provide partial reimbursement.

Answering your Questions

Do you accept insurance?

I do not accept insurance or participate in insurance panels because I believe our work should be directed by our collaborative efforts rather than the guidelines set by insurance companies.

This allows us to focus on your unique needs and goals. However, I am happy to provide a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company, and many providers may offer partial reimbursement for out-of-network services.

As an LCSW, I am able to provide a diagnosis should you hope to be reimbursed by your insurance company for our work together. Upon a request of such, I will be curious to better understand what the diagnosis might mean to you.

There are certainly pros and cons of labeling – diagnostic or otherwise. If you decide it would be helpful to have, I will provide the least stigmatizing diagnosis that fits your circumstances.

No, though I am able to refer you to psychiatrists and other prescribing physicians. Regardless, your ideas about medication are worth our exploration.

With your permission, yes.

Your confidentiality is important to me. A HIPAA consent form will be signed by you prior to my speaking with another person about you. We will discuss my plan for a conversation with others beforehand, as well as what was discussed after the fact.
